The GefenToolBox 1:4 Splitter for HDMI with FST and 3DTV sends a Hi-Def A/V source to up to 4 HDTV displays at the same time without losing quality or resolution. This product works with any Hi-Def source supporting resolutions up to 1080p Full HD with Deep Color, 3DTV pass-through, and lossless audio formats such as Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio.

Fast Switching Technology (FST) is a Gefen software implementation for HDMI products. FST was created to improve the lengthy HDMI authentication process, based on the HDMI and HDCP specifications. FST provides quicker A/V source switching and greatly improves the overall A/V system behavior and performance when more than one HDTV display is used in the system setup. FST allows connecting / disconnecting or turning ON / OFF the HDTV displays without having these activities affect other displays in the same distribution system.

How It Works

Connect the Hi-Def source to the HDMI input on the product using the supplied HDMI cable. Connect up to four (4) HDTV displays to the four (4) HDMI outputs on the product. Connect the locking power supply to the product and connect the power cable to an available electrical outlet. Apply power to the source and displays. The source signal will now be seen on all four (4) displays at the same time.

Atlona Technologies® today unveiled its new AT-3GSDI-HD2 3G-SDI/HD-SDI/SD-SDI to HDMI with stereo audio converter. Guaranteeing no signal loss, the AT-3GSDI-HD2 fully supports — and auto detects — all 3G/HD/SD-SDI audio formats up to 8-channel and is able to send audio though the HDMI port as well as through a separate stereo audio output when a DVI display is being used.

Ideal for the broadcast industry, the AT-3GSDI-HD2 is the perfect solution for monitoring and pre- and post-production where SDI camera or computer SDI output needs to be converted to work with HDMI or DVI displays. With a 0.1-millisecond delay, the unit is faster than any other SDI-type monitor on the market.

BZB Express ships AT-HD4-SI40SR and AT-HD4-V110SR High-Speed HDMI Extender Kits With Full 3D Support

Atlona Technologies® today announced that the company is now shipping its new AT-HD4-SI40SR and AT-HD4-V110SR high-speed HDMI extender kits. The perfect solution for remotely lo­cated Blu-ray™ players, Sony® PlayStations®, Apple TVs®, video codecs, and matrix switchers, the low-cost AT-HD4-SI40SR extends full HD 1080p or 1920x1200 signals from an HDMI source up to 130 feet over a single Cat 5/5e/6/7 cable. Featuring HDBaseT technology, the AT-HD4-V110SR extends HDMI sources up to 350 feet at 4Kx2K resolution while providing bidirectional RS-232, IR, and Ethernet pass-through. In addition, the units provide support for Deep Color, HDCP, and full 3D, while preserving 7.1-channel digital audio, including DTS-HD and Dolby® TrueHD.

HDMI.org only certifies HDMI cables up to 33 feet, posing a challenge for installers needing to deliver a reliable signal from remotely located devices. To address this issue, Atlona’s HDMI extenders feature two independent power supplies and allow the transmission to be reliably extended by up to 130 feet at 1080p, 200 feet at 720p/1080i by the AT-HD4-SI40SR, or 350 feet at 4Kx2K (four times the resolution of 1080p) by the AT-HD4-V110SR.

The AT-HD4-SI40SR features seven selectable on-board EDID modes, plus a learning feature, to ensure that optimal display requirements are met. And while other extenders are not yet capable of providing 3D support, the AT-HD4-SI40SR and AT-HD4-V110SR can pass on the newer 3D EDID currently being used by 3D displays, while still maintain­ing a lower price point.

With Ethernet pass-through, the AT-HD4-V110SR eliminates the need for an additional dedicated cable run for displays with on-board applications, such as Pandora and Netflix®. Support for bidirectional IR and RS-232 make the unit ideal for use with control and automation solutions. The AT-HD4-V110SR complies with all Video Electronics Standards As­sociation (VESA) formats utilized with specialized projectors or commercial LCD panels, and supports refresh rates of 24, 30, 50, and 60 Hz.
